How To Edit User Details

In the VIDIZMO portal, users with access rights for user and group management, acting as administrators of the Portal, can update a user's general information, such as their first name, last name, groups, country, assigned CALs, and feature restrictions. This documentation will provide a detailed guide on how to edit user details in VIDIZMO.

Prerequisites

  • Only users with access rights to the user management group can edit the details of other users in the portal or if their group has user management feature permission enabled.

Edit Individual User Details

To edit a single user, follow these steps.

  1. From the Portal's Home page, click on the navigation menu on the top left.
  2. Expand the Admin tab.
  3. Select Users & Groups to open the Users & Groups page.

4. On the Users and Groups page, all users are displayed within the All Users (default group). You can use the filter function to search for a specific user or view users within other groups.

5. Click the three dots next to the user to display available options and select Edit User option.

6. You'll be directed to the User Profile screen where you can update user's information.

The following fields you can edit of a user is:

  • Edit First Name.
  • Edit Last Name.
  • Change Country Name
  • Change State Name
  • Change City Name
  • Change Default Language.
  • Add or remove Groups.
  • Restrict Features for that User
  • Assigned CALs

7. Click on the Update Profile button to proceed. A notification will be displayed briefly stating, "User information has been updated successfully."

Users can use the User Registration feature to add custom fields within the portal. The information entered in these fields during registration is also visible when editing user profiles, ensuring consistency with the initial registration process.

Edit Users in Bulk

Utilize the bulk option on the User and Group page to edit users efficiently. Follow the steps below.

  1. Select users in bulk and check the boxes next to their names within the default All Users group or any specific group from which you wish to edit the user.
  2. Click the Action button.
  3. Select the Bulk Edit option from the available options.

  1. Update User screen will open, and the selected users will be displayed on the left.
  2. On the right section of the page, select the assigned CAL for the bulk users you want to edit by choosing from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Update.

User detail modifications will be visible for each user on the Users and Groups page.
